I have seen the show a few times, mostly because Mr. Fiorini enjoys it so much. He likes it because it deals with issues of identity and what it means to be human, as well as how love can change things.
Last night's show was especially dark. Maybe the next few episodes will be a little more hopeful.

she was only 34, and so beatilful, but she had a problem with drinking, and other substance abuse.
she was found after aspirating in her sleep.... .

A few years ago I lost my fourteen year old kitty, too. It was heartbreaking. Take especially good care of yourself for the next few days.

second one, she lived by a kh, 4th, dubs also came to her door.
Good luck on the relationship. Maybe your therapist can help you figure out why you keep attracting people connected with the WT in some way.
I've been lucky enough to have very little interaction with JWs since leaving, except my family. Of course, they make sure I have very little interaction with them, too. : (
Maybe it's good in some way that it keeps happening. You might be able to help some of them escape the cult.
my mother told me that my beloved headstrong jw aunt was crying up a storm because of sunday's watchtower lessons on how to treat someone who has left the flock and treat them with kindness in hope of their return.
my aunt thought immediately of me and how nasty she is to my existence, taking the lead in totally ignoring me in her presence.. so now she feels awful about her treatment....but why???
simply because a watchtower article told her so.
I remember a DO holding up a bible at an assembly and saying, "To me this bible looks black. But if the GB told me it was white, I'd say it was white." I didn't think anything of it at the time.
An elder once told me that he would rather be wrong with the WT than right by himself. I agreed with him.
God, I'm glad I'm out of that cult. It makes me sick to remember it.

If you're interested in helping your loved one see through the lies and manipulation of the Watchtower, I would highly recommend Steven Hassan's book, "Releasing the Bonds: Empowering People to Think for Themselves." He emphasizes building rapport and trust with cult members before criticizing the cult.
He tells the story of a woman who tried to get her JW husband to leave the organization by pointing out all it's problems. Unfortunately, her plan backfired and it took a toll on her marriage instead. The book has a well thought out plan to help cult members get out without damaging relationships in the process. I really liked it.

It disgusts me the way they try to present their no blood policy as the best treatment, implying that any doctor that disagrees might somehow be an inferior doctor. They try to minimize the seriousness of the issue by saying some newspapers have stories about some who might die if they don't get blood. What about the newspapers reporting on the fact that someone did die. They also emphasize the risks of getting AIDS or other diseases, which is extremely rare since all blood is tested before it is administered.
If they're going to take the position of no blood, they should have the guts to be honest about it, not give their members false ideas about the health and safety of the practice.

this past 3 weeks of reading, digesting and forming some of my own opinions has been harrowing, to say the least.
you could pretty much chalk me up to being emotionally fragile.
The initial disorientation of leaving the WT, or any cult, is difficult. But it will pass. You will have all the time you need to take in the facts and make your own decisions about what your beliefs are, and what makes sense to you. Your beliefs will then be your own. And that means you will be the one that wins, not Satan.
I grew up as a JW too. It has it's challenges. If you're like me, you will realize that leaving it is the best thing you ever did for yourself, and possibly your family too. You don't have to tell them anything until, or unless, you're ready. But some of them might want to get out eventually too, and you could be the one to help them.
Best wishes on the journey ahead. It will take courage, but it will be a wonderful adventure!
